Now Playing Tracks

My Tumblr poem based off of Maya Angelou’s “Phenomenal Woman”

Outsiders wonder where my loyalties lie

I’m not an innocent Fangirl only having one otp

But when I start to tell them

I say,

It’s in the reach of my flailing arms

The length of my fanfiction

The pitch of my wails

The pain of my feels

I’m a Fan

Flailing,

Flailing Fangirl

That’s me.

I walk into a room

Just as shocked as I can be

And to a non fan

They cower in corners or

Stare and glare in confusion

Then they say

“Who’s that?”

I say,

It’s our Tumblr Daddy

And the Lord of Mischief

The Mishapocalypse

And the flying phone booth

I’m a Fan

Flailing,

Flailing Fangirl

That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered

What they see in me

They try so hard

But they can’t touch

My inner mystery

When I try to show them

They say they still don’t understand

I say,

It’s my true calling

The quick skills of typing

My one of a kind url

My hipster tendencies

I’m a Fan

Flailing.

Flailing Fangirl

Now You understand

Why I cry over my laptop screen.

Why I whisper sweet nothings to Cumberbatch

Or cry as Dean dies (again).

When you hear me say dlkgjdalkgjdlkjrg

It ought to make you wonder

I say,

It’s in the click of my keys

The ship the forever sails

The crying over watching cons on youtube

‘Cause I’m a Fan

Flailing.

Flailing Fangirl.

That’s me.
